The area of Longji (Dragon's Spine) is about 100km from Guilin in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and is famous for its terraced rice fields. It is home to a community of Zhuang and Yao people, two of China's 55 official national minorities and has become a major tourist destination in recent years.
