Oct 2008: Longji (龙脊) - ShuangLong's Photos

The area of Longji (Dragon's Spine) is about 100km from Guilin in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and is famous for its terraced rice fields. It is home to a community of Zhuang and Yao people, two of China's 55 official national minorities and has become a major tourist destination in recent years.

ShuangLong > This Zhuang woman, around 70 years old and maybe 85 pounds in weight, toted our suitcase up the mountain to our hotel for RMB 10 (US$ 1.40). She also brought it back down for RMB 20.
