Kruger National Park : We spent four nights in Kruger National Park, in NE South Africa--two in the southern part of the park in Talamati Bush Lodge, and two in the central part in Letaba Lodge. We also drove the length and breadth of the park looking for animal sightings, and managed to see four of the "Big Five", the lone exception being the elusive leopard.

Cape Town (and a little Johannesburg) : Our first stop in South Africa was the area around Cape Town. We spent most of our time outside of the city, especially in the peninsula south of the city that is home to Table Mountain National Park and the Cape Point natural area. I've also include the few shots we took of Johannesburg here, rather than create a separate gallery for the few photos we took there.

Wine Country : We spent a few days in the Winelands outside of Cape Town, including the Constantia area just south of town, and the towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek further east. Amazing wines, at very attractive prices, plus great food!

Klein Karoo : After a few days of rain in the Cape Winelands we took refuge in the semi-desert Klein Karoo just across the mountains and found a completely different climate, and extremely friendly people!
